Specializes in shallow water flats fishing on the Lower Laguna Madre. He fishes the waters between Port Isabel and South Padre Island north to Port Mansfield. Although Jim fishes mostly artificial lures he will carry live bait during certain times of the year or by special request.

Fishing is mostly drift fishing with some wadefishing.
